About the Installation

Fluid Connectivité reflects on life, knowledge that our individual stories meshing into wider expanse of flow and connectivity brings expansion, understanding to our collective experiences. Through the interactive visual installation “Fluid Connectivité”, the artist encourages us to visualize the path to collective connection. Being connected in the flow requires connection to self which is essential and affects the way we interact with others.
You are invited to step into the flow, journey to the center and become one with your senses – through light, sound and visual art. To feel the flow of energy branching out - representing many people coming together. We are part of the continual flow in the universe. Whether we are aware or not, we are adding and sharing our experienceto the collective. By understanding it, we can then better understand each other regardless of where we come from. Fluid Connectivité is designed to be a visual, tactile and audio experience. Visitors will be invited to stand on the floor vinyl of interwoven fabrics representing a flow of energy – similar to the flow of energy that moves through public spaces on a daily basis as people of diverse backgrounds cross paths and co-create a vibrancy. Standing on the flow, the audience experience overhead + floors visuals along with a specially created soundscape representing the various flows of energy and their interconnectivity that have moved through the installation. Gabrielle Lasporte is a multidisciplinary artist whose artwork is known for the use of bright rich colours, organic shapes using nature and patterns as muses. Gabrielle creates in many mediums with emphasis on batik (dyes on fabric using wax resist). She is passionate about sharing her messages of authentic expansion, creation within curated spaces.

Fluid Connectivité est une réflexion sur la vie, sur le fait que nos histoires individuelles se fondent dans une vaste étendue de flux et de connectivité, ce qui apporte expansion et compréhension à nos expériences collectives. À travers l’installation visuelle interactive « Fluid Connectivité », l’artiste nous encourage à visualiser le chemin vers la connexion collective. Être connecté dans le flux nécessite une connexion à soi-même qui est essentielle et affecte la façon dont nous interagissons avec les autres. Vous êtes invités à entrer dans le flux, à voyager jusqu’au centre et à ne faire qu’un avec vos sens - à travers la lumière, le son et l’art visuel. Sentir le flux d’énergie qui se ramifie, représentant de nombreuses personnes qui se rassemblent. Nous faisons partie du flux continu de l’univers. Que nous en soyons conscients ou non, nous ajoutons et partageons notre expérience avec le collectif. En la comprenant, nous pouvons mieux nous comprendre les uns les autres, quelle que soit notre origine. Fluid Connectivité est conçue comme une expérience visuelle, tactile et sonore. Les visiteurs seront invités à se tenir debout sur le sol en vinyle de tissus entrelacés représentant un flux d’énergie - semblable au flux d’énergie qui circule dans les espaces publ ics au quotidien lorsque des personnes d’origines diverses se croisent et co-créent un dynamisme. Debout sur le flux, le public découvre des images aériennes et au sol, ainsi qu’un paysage sonore spécialement créé pour représenter les différents flux d’énergie et leur interconnectivité qui ont traversé l’installation.Gabrielle Lasporte est une artiste multidisciplinaire dont l’œuvre est réputée pour ses couleurs vives et riches et ses formes organiques s’inspirant de la nature. Mettant fortement l’accent sur le batik (l’application de teintures sur tissus, fixées à la cire), Gabrielle s’exprime de façon créative tout en diffusant ses messages d’expansion, de croissance et de création authentiques dans des espaces organisés la passionnent.
